Jam – Classic Bluetooth Wireless Outdoor Speaker Review
The Jam Classic Bluetooth Wireless Speaker in Grape has an MSRP of $39.99 and is on a clearance listing for $37.99. As one of the many entrants in the market for a wireless speaker, but at a lower cost than most, we took a closer look to see what this one has to offer.
Features and Specifications
The Jam Classic has a wireless reception range of 30 feet and is compatible with almost all Bluetooth enabled devices. It uses a CSR system so there are no extra wires or antennas that have to be plugged in. It measures a small 2.8 by 2.8 by 2.5 inches, which makes it truly portable. It also has a rechargeable lithium battery and comes with a mini plug.
What’s to love about it?
There are four things that stand out about the Jam Classic –
- It has a good audio scape that can handle a solid range of music
- It really is portable and wireless (no extra antennas required)
- The lithium battery gives it a long play life
- It comes with a one year warranty.
These 4 reasons alone make it worth any price. Coming in at the lower end of the midrange speakers there is a lot going on in this little speaker set that puts it ahead of the rest. The true wireless state is something that you will appreciate, but the real standout is the quality of the sound. While other wireless speakers have a tendency to get gravely when their battery charge is less than 75%, the Jam Classic lithium battery lets it hold onto its audio quality until there is no power left. It is quick to recharge too, plus it has an optional wired connection port so you can plug it in to save the battery for longer play as well.
What’s not so great?
The Jam Classic Bluetooth Wireless Speaker is one of the few products available that has little going against it. The sole reason that this one is on clearance is because of the grape color. The Jam color scheme changes every year or so and this grape is not going to be continued. If that is the worst that you can say about a wireless speaker, then that is saying a lot. The only other minor complaint is that you have to buy the plug-in connection wire separately. Since the wire barely costs more than $5 and is usually listed right with the speaker, which is a problem that is quickly solved.
The Final Verdict
If you are looking for a wireless speaker that is truly portable and can deliver quality sound without shaking out on the bass tones then you have found yourself a true deal. The fact that the Jam Classic in Grape is a discontinued color makes it an even better deal at the discount price. Even if you can’t move fast enough to get one before it is sold out, this Bluetooth speaker is worth paying the full price for a model with a current scheme too. It is reliable, packs an audio punch and delivers everything that it promises. Click Here to Read Customer Reviews from Amazon
